Who we are

About X Engineering

Independent engineering consulting for complex mechanical and structural problems where safety margins are critical and engineering judgment must withstand scrutiny.

An engineering firm built for complex work

X Engineering is an independent consulting firm that takes on mechanical and structural engineering problems other firms find inconclusive or contentious. We deliver the analysis, the judgment, and the documentation that must stand up to scrutiny.

We are not a general-purpose design house. Our work centers on correctness, traceability, and professional accountability—particularly where safety margins are thin, service conditions are severe, and engineering decisions carry consequence. Clients engage us when the technical basis must be defensible and the engineering record must be complete.

Our people

Our team

Our practice is led by engineers holding doctoral-level qualifications in mechanical engineering and licensed as Professional Engineers (P.Eng) in Ontario. We bring over a decade of experience in nuclear reactor systems and high-consequence industrial applications.

Our engineers have led stress analysis programs and design review campaigns on Generation IV reactor projects, with direct responsibility for advanced structural assessment under demanding service conditions. We have presented technical work at the ASME Pressure Vessels & Piping Conference and ASME Code Week, contributing to the professional discourse on high-temperature design and standards development.

We operate with senior technical judgment present on every engagement—not delegated. Our team is structured so that the engineers who scope the work are the same engineers who execute and sign it.

How we operate

Our principles

Independence

We operate as an independent third party with no financial interest in the outcome of our assessments. Our conclusions are driven by engineering, not commercial relationships.

Rigor

Every analysis is executed to a standard that withstands peer review and regulatory scrutiny. We do not take shortcuts on technical basis or documentation.

Traceability

Complete documentation chains from design inputs through engineering assumptions to final conclusions. Every deliverable is structured for audit and long-term record retention.

Accountability

Our work is signed and sealed by licensed Professional Engineers who take personal responsibility for the engineering judgment behind every deliverable.
